Yes — Dewey throws its own fireworks, and you don't even have to leave town. On Saturday, July 4, 2026, the show goes off around dusk (about 9:30 PM), launched from a barge out on the bay near McKinley Avenue. Highway One has put on the display since 2013.

Because it's fired from the bay, it's visible across town — grab a bayside spot, a deck, or just look up from wherever you've landed. Make a night of it with the July 4th weekend live music lineup, and remember Rehoboth fires its own show the next night (July 5).

Heads up: fireworks dates and times can shift with weather, so confirm before you head out.

Insider Tip

Since it launches from the bay, you do not need a beach spot — anywhere with a sightline to the water works. Bayside bars and decks fill up early.
