Dodging for Dogs: Dewey Beach Bars Face Off for a Great Cause

Only in Dewey Beach does a Monday night involve dodgeball, dogs, and your favorite bartender trying to nail someone with a rubber ball.

What’s Going Down

The Lighthouse is hosting “Dodging for Dogs” – an industry dodgeball tournament where teams from Dewey’s bars and restaurants compete for bragging rights. Every team throws in a $50 donation, and all proceeds go to Grass Roots Rescue, a foster-based dog rescue nonprofit based in Milton, DE that’s been saving dogs on the Eastern Shore since 2013.

The flyer also mentions “Dogs For Adoption,” so there’s a chance you leave this thing with a new best friend. You’ve been warned.
