Dodging for Dogs: Dewey Beach Bars Face Off for a Great Cause

Only in Dewey Beach does a Monday night involve dodgeball, dogs, and your favorite bartender trying to nail someone with a rubber ball.

What’s Going Down

The Lighthouse is hosting “Dodging for Dogs”, an industry dodgeball tournament where teams from Dewey’s bars and restaurants compete for bragging rights. Every team throws in a $50 donation, and all proceeds go to Grass Roots Rescue, a foster-based dog rescue nonprofit based in Milton, DE that’s been saving dogs on the Eastern Shore since 2013.

The flyer also mentions “Dogs For Adoption,” so there’s a chance you leave this thing with a new best friend. You’ve been warned.
